14 Year old Muskan originally comes from Birgunj,Parsa and studies in Grade 9 at Tribhuwan Hanuman Secondary School. On 6th September 2019, at around 6.am in the morning she was going to her school when two boys followed her on motorcycle and splashed acid on her face. Muskan cried for help and the locals gathered at the place and took her to Narayani Hospital for the treatment.She was referred to Kiritipur Hospital for further treatment.The culprits are identified as Samsad Miya and Majid Alam. According to her parents,Muskan had refused Samsad Miya’s love proposal which led to this unfortunate incident.
On 19th September 2019, our Executive Director Pratiksha Giri handed over a cheque of Rs 30,000 to Mr Rasul Aansari ,father of acid survivor Muskan Khatun who is currently undergoing treatment at Kirtipur Hospital.She requires long term treatment for recovery.Please share this post to help her.
